12bar - later than PP I’m sure! Also going to be at the back but I think he will be further forward.

ITG - if you're thinking of speed training does that mean you're back to normal (whatever that is?)
Linds - graceful tumble / forward roll, wish I could have seen it. Glad there were no ill effects.

Carp - that was one of those part-time streams, then? (Shouldn't you have a spare key hidden round the garden somewhere, in case of a similar eventuality? Horrified at the thought of you sitting on the doorstep in the rain for 20 minutes after paddling in the part-time stream)
Much luck to Paula and PP

Three and a bit times round the lake again, 33 minutes. It rained. I got wet. I didn't care. And I have a heart ! (I'm only targeting 300 miles this year.

But I don't understand. The heart used to mean that you were on target in relation to the whole year, which I'm not. I should have a blackheart meaning I'm on target so far this month (not difficult, as it's only the 2nd of the month)

Columba with a target of 300 miles you will get a red heart for approx 80 miles at the moment black heart for 3 miles for month.

6 mile recovery run done in my marathon day shoes, their first run outside, tried not to get them wet or dirty ( they felt like slippers :-)).

Eggs count as recovery food, I hope that includes Creme Eggs ;-)

Boo to Bints back, glad Linds roll was injury free and Carp hope you have warmed up now.

Now I hope you are all sitting down for I can report that I have run - yep thats right, I have run. 3 miles in the rain but tis done - now to see how the foot reacts. The calf is pretty sore the moment but I shall roll and ice after a shower.

Great to meet Linds this morning. As a thread stalker I feel I know most of you and it is great when we finally get to meet.
Must join in more conversations.

Good running, Columba!
Back is mostly ok most days so I think I can do some speed work. No skipping, burpees or situps (oh what a shame)

I have, however, napped and not run. Where's sharktopus?

I’ve been for a two mile run, the first with my youngest two children, and the second with just my son, the middle one.

:-) well done Dio and Diolings

Hooray for Linds and Sinj.

Is the sliding stop a new thread thing? Does one of us have to volunteer every week? Pretty sure that CStar, AR and Linds have taken their turn already but AR may not count as no one saw ;-)

I also missed Bints back :-(

Ok I’m off out for a quick bimble - today has been a lovely day. We never made it to the maritime museum we just went to pizza express and me and MrS brought some raffish waterproof trousers all ready for the Minack tomorrow :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by Mandymoo
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
