Morning
Have fun racers, runners, riders and swimmers (and, indeed, anyone doing anything at all today)
I have 60 mins easy and a gym session on the schedule. And lots of actual life type stuff that I don't seem able to find time for!

Hello. I think the Easter lamb comes from Jewish passover tradition of having lamb. I don't know why they have lamb but they a period around now where their diet is restricted (no leavened bread and whatnot) and I think passover is the feast at the end of that. To celebrate being "passed over" while God slaughtered all the Egyptian firstborns. (But I might have got things mixed up.)
Dave, is your reason for not defending your title that your son will take it? I think my nearly13 is probably faster than me now.

Easter is linked to Passover; and Passover is derived from the Israelites' exodus from Egypt, when they had to slaughter a lamb (then eaten with unleavened bread and "bitter herbs") and mark their doors with its blood and they would then be passed over by the destroying angel. So that would be the rather tenuous link between lamb and Easter. I'm sure you all wanted to know that.

My 6 year old granddaughter runs faster than me.
But probably only over a short distance.

thank you for the education

6 miles done which was lazy of me really, I could and should have done more but it's too good a gardening day and the weeds will take over again if I don't crack on.
Bit disappointed that this March is on course to be my second lowest mileage since I came on Fetch. I suppose the snowy weather hasn't helped.
