Yep, I've gone up another half size in the Hokas
5.5 in Sauconys and Inov-8s, 6 in Hokas
4 in a regular shoe

Psychic and at ultra-arms length hugs for the Lurgied walking dead ... here's hoping it boogers off soon for you all
There's trails, fields and a fair sized park on my doorstep ~ so clay, mud, grass, leaf litter, leaf-mold to deal with ... sometimes solid as rock, sometimes the Holy Grail of quagmires, sometimes a mix of hard and soft ... some rather interesting slopes to the area too; not massive hill but quite wearing . I figured that it'll likely be quite wet for a few more months so I went for Innovate X-Talon 212's (and a pair of Innov-8 gaiters too ~ when I've used my road shoes on trails I've tended to get debris ingress )
The shoes are going to be very different to what I've used up to this point and the intention is to start with small runs, as undemanding as I can find, using a run walk system ... and work up from there

Gaiters are awesome. I have some with  on them
Welcome kwala - 700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient
I warmed up eventually, then got dressed again in dry kit and got soaked to the skin again running down the gym to go swimming (oh, the irony). After that I sat in the steam room and had to be dragged out by Mr Carp.
Right now I am upstairs trying to avoid killing anyone (combined effects of being hangry and three teenagers being unhelpful).

I love innov-8s, but they don't love my ITB sadly. Currently in salomons for trail running, which always rub my big toes.
My sister wears clown shoes...I mean hokas, and seems to get on well with them.
