Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sounds like a sensible decision AR.

I did a very wet 3 miles before a Trail running workshop in woods that I’ve never been to. Quite a challenging workshop. Lots of hills. Scary up & downs. I’ve no idea how folk can run so fast on them. I just about went over my ankles a few times and I was going at snails pace! Interesting though. And a free pair of Salomon socks so all worth it!

Ta, everyone. Knees are fine but my quads are bursting out of my thighs, Hulk-style. Just had a lovely bubble bath and am almost ready to face the washing up but will blog first.

Very sensible, Alpen - no-one wants a twisted ankle and a faceful of pat. (PS it wasn't that hilly, actually - it was a double-loop within the Holme Valley and the height range was only 100-186m. You want hills? I'll show you some of my silly training bimbles ;) ).

I'll change it to Foooogs if you're not careful. ;)

Alpen: and that is why they invented skis. And chair-lifts. ;)

Loved GSR, paced Ds1 to a decent time and then pegged it the last mile to get my second best time and sub 1.30! I could have beaten my PB but I wanted to support ds1 (plus I couldn’t actually remember my PB either...)
Lovely to see Latterly multiple times and Pimps just before the start :) Gorgeous weather, FANTASTIC atmosphere out on the course, I just loved this race!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
