Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Imagine carking it on your first day in a new job, and death by choking on a quaver, how embarrassing would that have been!!

Daytona Beach, that's the one you can drive along, I think I saw it once. Ft Lauderdale is full of very rich wrinklies, isn't it? How about Clearwater Beach or St Pete Beach up Tampa way? Easy to get to a couple of parks if you fancy them. I had a friend who loved going to Sanibel for a lovely peaceful time.

Cheers AR will look at those suggestions.

Not into theme parks - done them all a couple of times. We are going to New York first, then friends in Williamsburg, Virginia and will then drive down to the beach via somewhere. As you can tell still working on it

Are you doing GSR *and* Beachy then Fleecy? I will be GSRing again and staying in Seaview that weekend so I'm hoping for an invite to Fleecy Towers :-) Will parkrun have moved back to Appley by then?

I was wondering about track tonight because walking my sister's badly behaved dog on the lead yesterday has led to a very niggly knee (she pulls on the lead and it causes a twist on my knee to stop her) but then I remembered I have a committee meeting to go to anyway :-(. Probably just as well with a race coming up on Sunday I suppose.

Good luck for first "real day" tomorrow *lemon*. I hope you did not have too many witnesses to the Quaver incident.

No thankfully my new colleague who I share the office with wasn't about and so I was able to choke and splutter and cough in total privacy! Fab first day though, so far I like it very much! :-)

Decided against swimming today as I have a cold. Not a very bad one, but no point in tempting fate. Walked into town; had hoped to get bus back but missed it, so walked home again.

About This Thread

Maintained by Mandymoo
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
