Nodding head at ITG post. Happy days, the Fleecy & CStar families.
I’ve run, been caught out by the bridge over harbour going up, so many boats waiting that I decided to join the queue out of the door at frantically busy chemist, to get my new drug, statins good cholesterol anyway but eye clinic decision, not sure I believe their arguments about flushing tiny arteries on retina.
Expected visitors not happening, so there’s lots of cake 🍰 & 🍪 to spare here 😂 & a vegan casserole.

Nice to see you back CStar, glad you have something to be happy about today, well done dd2.
Good news for ds1 and TBjr also.
I managed to stay off my fat today and have done a run. Steamy out but very good as I hardly had any walking breaks. The main one was where I found loads of delicious blackberries and couldn't stop eating them.

No GSCEs for me as I studied in Scotland. We had standard grades that were "new" then (replaced o-grades) and noone had a clue what it was all about. A grade of "1" was the top grade so I'm fucked if anyone asks for my transcript now.
It is absolutely chucking it down.I'll probably xfit later. They are going to start a class for age 60+ and I am going to ask if I can go. I am utterly crap at lifting and have a bad back so I think it would be just right for me. Not kidding, either.

I was lucky that, with one exception, no-one has ever measured me by my qualifications. In every role people have only been interested in whether I could do the job.
The one exception was a big 5 company that tried to recruit me based on what they had seen, but before they saw my CV, and then had to backtrack because I wasn't (and had no wish to be) the academic 'cream.'
Qualifications only ever tell part of a story, so well done to those who got the grades they wanted, and chin up to those who didn't. The alternatives can be much more fun if you allow it.

I also lack GCSEs
But I do have 2 16+ and a CSE (as well as O levels). The 16+ was the first attempt at the exam revisions that led to GCSEs I think, but didn't get very far.
Well done to CStar and Fleecy offspring.

O and A levels in my day. However I don't want this thread to turn into a division of the over 50's thread, so...
6 miles this morning on top of five last night and I feel really quite tired. Off to the seaside tonight so I have lovely hills to look forward to again. How much tapering for next week's mile race can I have please?

Given my knowledge of many of the people of the 700er parish LD, I think that's a moot point anyway
