Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh, that’s good getting out, looking forward to photos.

Stunning weather here at last after what seems like ages in sea-fog, excellent timing for IoW.

Well done parkrunners & volunteers :-)

Enjoyable parkrun for me today. Ended up as unofficial pacer when I caught a lady who was aiming for a PB. Kept her going and she made it by 12 seconds :-)

We got cake as well because one of our regular ladies (and usually first lady finisher at sub 20mins) is getting married this afternoon.

Nice one PH. I was an official parkrun pacer today. We also had cake as we had both a 250 and a 300 to celebrate.

I have runned. Got a nice surprise there this morning as my nephew and his girlfriend were up from Glasgow for the weekend so they did the beach parkrun seeing as it was a glorious day.

Milo is a great name, enjoy the cuddle MM :-)
Well done on the pacing PH and TB star
Lovely parkrun on Hastings prom for us today. Headwind on the way back made it harder, but lovely brekfast afterwards. :-)

Bike ride to and from parkrun was fine, though I think I need to pop into the shop for a but more tinkering with the bike fit. Because my left arm is slightly more bent than my right I'm obviously compensating by bringing my shoulder forward, and just a few miles' ride makes my shoulder very stiff. I think if the bike stem was raised very slightly it might help.

We had a technical failure today - one of the barcode scanners lost all its data :-0 so roughly a quarter of our runners (604 today, second highest turnout) have gone down as unknowns :-(

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
