"Everyone knows that Portsmouth, both the football club and the city, is known as Pompey"... well, except me then.
Also, neither Pompey the Great nor Pompey the younger was ever an emperor. Pompey the Great was on the first triumvirate with Julius Caesar (who was never technically an emperor either) and Crassus.
Your history lesson of the day was brought to you by ITG.

2015 was when my Achilles ruptured LD but I'd been having problems with my heel since the end of 2013.

One of the characters in Measure For Measure by "World's Greatest Ever Writer" Shakespeare has a character called Pompey Bum. That's right, his surname is Bum. And that's only so one of the other characters can say 'In one sense you are Pompey The Great as your Bum is the biggest thing about you'. Yep, Willy Shakespeare called someone 'Bum' so he could make a 'you've got a big bum' joke.
Funny how that stuck in my memory from school!

Me too Fleecy, it'll be good to see you and Som on Saturday. Any chance of dragging the fidgety one along?
And watch out in those foreign parts, my cousin lives there and they're a strange bunch.

LindsD - I shall keep an eye out for your Fetch shirt in Southampton - I don't have any Fetch kit (yet!) but if you spot a slightly nervous looking female in bib 9067, that'll be me!
