Andy that does sound potentially as if it was a fuelling issue (there were lots of clubmates who complained of similar feelings during and post the Berkeley 20 this weekend, and the consensus seems to be that insufficient breakfast was the cause) but I'm sure you've made the right decision.

I've had 2 rather meh runs recently - 1 I think was mostly hydration/nutrition fail, the other was an unusual time of day for me to run (4PM, I normally run after work or in the morning at weekends) so I should have had a pre-run snack.

I like the idea of a 700er social at or around the grizzly next year, cub for me!

On that note, is there a Lakeland get-together planned, this year? Looks like there are a fair few folks at beachy!

Decided to have another night while I'm by the coast so just checked in by Boscombe Gardens. Lovely day in Charmouth fossil hunting. Great weather so I'm gonna do a very gentle jog along the sea front

Oh and the crazy sprint finish paid off. Got sub 4 hours by one second and overtook about 20 people in the last 200 metres

Lol, that's by the skin of your teeth, FP :)
It is such a gorgeous day out there. Ran to and from pottery.

FP, if only I'd known in advance! Be careful when you go out at night around there. ;-)

I'm back home safe AR. Yeah, last minute idea to break the drive up and extend my break. Ran all the way to Branksome Dene, then on the way back did a soft sand run between the piers. Stopped off at harvester for dinner then had the lovely hill to walk back up. I'm moving to Holland.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
