Well done to all the racers and long runners etc. this weekend.
I had a long run fail yesterday. Just had no go and am putting it down to not being fuelled up properly. I normally run first thing in the morning but didn't get out until mid afternoon. I got 8 miles in and knew there was nothing left. Felt awful for hours afterwards. (could it also be a bit of overtraining?????)
I've had one decent long run in an attempt to get ready for April and have got to the point that I realise I am pushing myself too much at the minute and work are going to be getting their most out of me over the next few weeks. So, I have made the decision to change from the full to the half now. Feel fine about it, and I would rather do an event I would enjoy than hate all the way around. If I felt anything like I did yesterday I know I just wouldn't finish it.
Have a good week all.

Andy, hope it was nothing, just one of those days, sure it won't happen on race day because you'll be tapired. You'll have more fun on a half too

Scanning through close to 200 posts as I was offline yesterday: Huge congrats to PBs, esp pothunter and redAlex, whom I bet on. Hurrah! Hugs to Serendippily for shitty family drama. Hope it all settles down soon.
And fab hillage and signage alpen.
Hope the week contains more running and less drama for everyone.

Gosh but it was tough running home from the bouncy session today! My legs hurt from yesterday's hills, and I knackered them out bouncing too. Good fun though, class was full

Yes Grizzly is by ballot, but there are always places available in the run up as people drop out and they allow number changes right up to and including the morning of the race, so pretty much anyone who is set on getting in does.
Grizzly 19.3 Miles Cub 9M Seaton Parkrun on Saturday morning.
It's a weekend where running takes over the entire town. Put it in your diaries for next year
Legs mostly functioning today. Gentle loosener planned shortly in the sunshine.

A little bit too far for me to travel for a race I think.
