Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Happy birthday Paula cake

I have been making damson ripple cakes for the Cardiff Fetch mile tomorrow - honestly they look a bit dubious but they are tasty (obligatory quality control checks obviously).

Sorry to hear about the DNSs PP and Bint - wishing you a speedy recovery from niggles and nasty bugs.
Best of luck to the other 700ers at Beachy

Oh no PP & Bint! :-P

I have arrived in Eastbourne and will go and get my number now. It's a lovely afternoon for a walk along the seafront.

Happy birthday Paula - if I'm too late that's because my wishes went the wrong way round the world ;-)

I must do some baking for the Fetch mile too. Goodness knows what but as long as it's edible it'll be ok. I hope :-)

Sorry about the lurgy Bint and niggle PP :-(

Have a super Beachy weekend everyone else :-)

There is the most gorgeous blue sky here today, but out of the sun it's sooo cold!

Since it's Friday and it's back to work on Monday I should be cutting the lawn and cleaning the floors - but I really CBA.....

Best of luck to racers this weekend - hope it stays like ths for Beachy :)

Many thanks for all the good luck wishes. Mrs 12bar & I have just got back from Eastbourne where I picked up my race number. As alpenrose said, it was a lovely afternoon to stroll along the promenade to the race headquarters.

Being a bit of a Billy-no-mates, I'll be wearing a bright orange running top with the "deaf" logo on. I don't run with my hearing aids in, so if you spot me meandering around at the start, don't hesitate to come up & tap me on the shoulder & give me the thumbs up. (Sign language for Good). Mind you, I'll most probably "sign" back that off on another trip to the toilet.

Good luck to everybody running tomorrow.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
