Oh dear ITG Not been a good couple of months for you (()) Poured with rain most of today. it would appear also that any English not in Spain on holiday decided to go to Stirling Castle for the day. We decided to go to the cinema instead, I sat through Cars3 with youngest 2, while hubby got to see Dunkirk with oldest. He also got to do the MTB yesterday with oldest, while I got to go for a lochside stroll. I foresee a little payback being due soon - preferably in the form of me having a half day to myself to go running in!

I don't know how people can go to the beach and not swim in this weather. I may be biased as I was brought up here and we always went to the beach at any opportunity in the summer. I went in twice and it was lovely. There was an algal bloom as I went in and this morning I ran up and down a pier and saw big jellyfish swimming around. I've only ever seen them washed up on the shoreline before.

I didn't swim cos I didn't fancy doing so in my pants I grew up in Sydney where if the water was under 18c people wore wetsuits too!

jogged an obligatory 5k which was fine. Had a shower and now my poor old knee is stinging to buggery and back
On the bright side, it appears that Game of Thrones is on our regular telly package here so that's something to do once we sent the kids off to bed

My first dip in Sydney was at Cronulla at about 17c.
Well done for getting round FML, you can't PB all the time.
Patience, ITG, patience.

I had a fab swim this afternoon. I'm amazed that the water is so cold where you are ferret - you're not that far along the coast from us, after all - and this afternoon it was a perfect temperature for a skins swim. I even did some proper front crawl because I didn't need to acclimatise (I've been doing old lady head-up breaststroke until today.)
There were tiny clear jelly fish swept up onto the sand last time we were down but there was no sign of them today.
FML, ultras take a lot of getting over. So I believe, anyway

Bint - just been doing steady runs apart from 1 stupid interval session about 9 days after. Think the issue is that only been to Yoga once since due to work, booked up and instructor illness. My hips are really tight, so shortening my stride
