Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh dear RH :-( Sorry to hear about MiL.

Lovely club run tonight - a perfect, perfect evening. The fish were jumping clean out of the water as we ran alongside the reservoir, the distant views were so clear and beautiful we passed two (separate) men who were taking photographs with tripods, fancy-pants cameras etc and in another field three beautiful horses came and very gently asked for us to stroke their noses :-) Only one more week of off-road club runs though - boo :-(

There was also something quite funny tonight...

From time to time the Saucony rep comes with a bootful of the latest off-road shoes and anyone who wants to have a run in them is welcome to swap their own shoes in exchange for some honest feedback (and handing them back at the end of the run.;-)) When I was doing the announcements at the start I did warn the rep that our routes tonight involved some likely deep mud. 'No problem' he said.

Well, there's a lovely clip on the club FB page of one of the groups literally knee-deep in cow-poo-rich mud - one guy not only losing his shoe but a sock as well :-0

Anyone want some slightly shop-soiled Saucony's? :-)

oops :)

youngest had a shoe sucked into a bog when we walked Kinder Scout earlier this month (his face! so, so funny :) :) ) - I was amazed at how clean said shoe came when put through a gentle wash in the machine at the cottage. Am now a convert to washing (older, maybe not my favourite) shoes.

Morning :-)

Club run and post-run coffee/tea this morning, haircut lunchtime, mother visiting this afternoon, travelling down to the seaside tonight for a lovely long weekend (not back til Tuesday :-)).

Don't forget to do at least 10 minutes walking today ;-) (astonishing that some people aren't even doing that, according to today's news :-0)

4.75 miles late last night and bootcamp this morning. That'll do.

Also reeling at that news, LD :-o

Not surprised at all by that. If you don't like walking then it's been designed out of everyday life so there's no compulsion to.

My abs really hurt.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
