Some good news the ITG. Andy - I wouldn't do centre parcs without kids, but 12 is the perfect age I think. They can spend the whole day in the water park and the adults can just relax. I have a friend who is head of Events at one of them - they always put a lot of activities on over the holiday season.

And I hate Center Parcs but apparently that makes me the odd one out, Mr fleecy and the kids used to enjoy it. I'd rather go to one of those Forest Holiday lodges in the woods with a hot tub personally

Ooh Fleecy - re the dog scratch, is your anti-tetanus up to date?
RRR - re the refurbished Garmin - it's worth trying the Garmin people again; I had a refurbished one passed on to me, and over several years they repaired it twice with never a murmer.
My "brisk walking" pace is about 3 mph. Often I prefer sauntering and looking at the views.
((RH)) Thank you Bint, - vindicated - hill reps have similar effect to speedwork. Point taken about alternating them, though. Did approx 3 hilly miles today including 2 x 5 hill reps. Experimentally, did not wear the knee support I've been using for around a year. Knee seemed to twinge a little more than usual, but that may be just because I was half-expecting it to.

Evening ran 10 miles all those beers I drank in Scotland kept me at a steady pace
Referance Garmin called them today they said it sounds like it is broke beyond repair. We are to send it to them but they said I can buy another one that is less than high street prices but need to read the e-mail properly. Ran with an old one today that just keeps going !!

If you have an iPhone you can use the fetch app RRRRRR, if you have an Android phone it's coming soon. Great for just logging mileage! I don't have an up to date jab, Columba. Will just have to hope no tetanus result from Stupid Poodle.
My bum has joined my abs in complaining. I will ignore them both, got to get back into classes at some stage

If you've had 5 tetanus jabs in your lifetime you'll be fine, Fleecy. Doesn't make up for the badly behaved poodle though I have cycled and walked and run. I love not being at work

Bad dog! And bad owner for letting it happen.
Have run, am dripping but was fun. The longer runs are beginning to show results in the shorter runs of that makes sense.

I think I've had 2 jabs ever... I said to the owner 'that really hurt, you need to control your dog' It was right near the playground and loads of kids playing football as well. He was apologetic but he needs to cut his dog's nails!
