I won't be racing. I shall be tootling round at the back, well wrapped up, and just enjoying that someone else has decided my route and helpfully stuck a few water stations on it.
And no, there is no substitute for HDS. This possible consolation prize contains neither mud, water, ice, hypothermia or vertical hills.

No running here, ankle still a bit stiff from Sunday. Did 10k rowing in gym followed by sauna and coffee.
I have some old Ron Hill tracksters - nice!

10k done tonight with club.
Can't go wrong with Ronhill. All my shorts & long/short tights are Ronhill. Wouldn't run in anything else.

Had Physio this morning (at 7.20am so almost forgot!). Glutes are worrying lazy (for a runner). Not much improvement. Exercises to do every hour. Bit difficult to grab & clench my backside at work though. My toilet breaks will be have to be more frequent and worryingly long!

I wore tracksters tonight along with windproof jacket, fetch buff, headtorch and lovely warm gloves. It was a bit crazy out there - cold and it rained a bit, the wind was strong in parts but 4 miles done.
Kim, I try to fit stretching in at work but the loo is the only place I can do it so it doesn't happen much.
