Hurrah for a bouncing Helegant :-)

I'm just looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow. I'm marshalling at parkrun. Running in the rain = no problem. Standing in the rain cheering other runners = will need hot chocolate and cake afterwards :-)

Presumably hot chocolate and cake will be available?

:-) for Helegant's bounceback

Seren - wonderful that you got the phone back. What is this "findphone" facility? luck for the Richmond Park half. And luck to Pothunter.

Yesterday's long run has left me good for nothing today. Well, almost nothing. I did my usual Friday morning stint at the Foodbank, came home, had lunch, promptly fell asleep for the afternoon.

:-) for Helens bounce
It's an app Columba - there's find my phone and find your friends - if your phone is connected to the internet it will locate you via GPS. Mr S uses both as I'm often both late and lost and we share childcare :-) it's only correct to a point though hence me spending some time getting the barmaid in the pub near work to ring my number and squint at her punters when actually it was safely in the office 400m away where I'd left it :-)

Thanks Seren. I'll look into that. My phone is on my daughter's account ("I have dragged Mum into the 21st century") though whether that would be in any way relevant I don't know.

Yay, Helegant! Nothing like a good old steak to perk you up (though ideally the night before a run, not the hour before).

Depends if you intend to start getting lost and need collecting Columba :-)

FML - I had Hybrid Theory playing in the car this morning. Was a massive Linkin Park fan in the early days. Such a shame. Great talent. And a father of six.

Fed up here. Almost 2 weeks without exercise. Leg was feeling worse today. Hip & back also sore as I'm probably adjusting my posture. Sigh.

Anyone watching The Last Leg? I've been crying with laughter over the clip of the visually impaired athlete who lost his sight after incidents involving a donkey (and yes, I know that it sounds totally inappropriate to laugh, but ....)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
