Thanks Sweetie. I have no idea what a derailleur is, hope you get another one soon.
Still very painful today. Icing it. Sod's law I injure myself when there's a Monday holiday. So no chance of getting hold of a Physio/dr/nurse practitioner until Tuesday. And even then unlikely to get an appointment same day. Sigh.

(derailleur is the bit that changes gear on the bike)
Joining the injury bench today. In lower back ache hell. The whole area aches chronically but there is no particular point or acute pain. I think it started on Monday on the bike (it's been a year since I was on a drop handlebars and last year I only went 2 or 3 times). Then I had the half marathon on Thursday and there was a niggle; cross-fit on Friday that involved lots of planking (at which I am pants); and then a hilly trail run yesterday.
I think it's a combination of all of the above and a generalised "stiffness" of muscles. But it got worse and worse last night and this morning, I couldn't hardly get my socks on - I couldn't bend down at all and had to lift one leg up and try to put them on one-handed.
I've liberally applied voltaren gel and taken 2 ibuprofen but I'm feeling miserable. Hoping it passes soon.

Lovely RA! Hard luck Sweetie, but a great ride nonetheless.
Absolutely no doubt I could hear PP over everything last night - I think he has a kind of charm to his singing
Look after yourself KCR, and heal quickly x

GWS to those on the injury bench!
Ran the British 10k in Westminster this morning. Very warm and you forget how hilly it is - particularly up Regent St and Charing Cross Rd! Very well organised though (although for the £50 entry you'd expect nothing less!)
Waiting for official results but I think I squeezed in to a 5 second PB. -:)
T-shirt not as nice as last year. I'm not a big fan of black technical tops so this will probably go to the bottom of the pile. Sizing on the big side too. Normally medium is fine, but seems I could easily have gone small.

PH You're on fire! Great to PB in such a busy race and on such a hot day especially.
What a fabulous place for a long run, RA

PH Bint: SallyKate and I were discussing doing a chunk of NDW sometime with JC, would Guildford-Dorking be a good bet for trains from that side of London? It's fine from this end and I think it's about 15 miles or so
