If you are able to not race (I have a friend who knows he can't) you could do 10 of the miles within next week's race, with a few either side?

Anyone in here doing GSR? Pinkliverbird has started a thread about it and has no one to talk to.

I'm in agreement with B for above MM. The fact that you've recently done a marathon will be a huge help.

I ran 5 miles. Just 21.2 miles short of what I should have been running!

I was hoping I'd be back for GSR but no running at all for me yet so will have to see
Paula I'd also tend to try and run to race, race and then run back, otherwise ditch it for 20. But not stress either way

Paula: dump the next race, do 18 or 20, run Cabbage Patch slowly and then home slowly, then you're sorted :) By the way, which hotel are you staying in for Beachy? I might stay over I reckon
Latterly is doing GSR I think?

We are staying at the Big Sleep, Fleecy.

I've been looking at the logistics of doing the race next weekend with an added 5 miles at the start and finish. There are trains from my local station and at the other end it's only a mile to the start of the race, which starts at 10am. The journey is twice as long as driving, but it will be less stressful for me to go on the train (so long as there are no engineering works!). I don't like motorway driving.

Still thinking. I could ditch it and do a local long run and probably wouldn't think twice if it wasn't a club race.

Nice running AR :-) Have some bunting and a 700er medal.

No GSR for me this year as I am still on the bench for 13 more days, not that I am counting or anything.

Paula, the race or the 20 will work I reckon.

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
