Good luck this afternoon Kim, don't know if the wind is meant to drop.

That sounds like a nightmare CStar. I prefer non-technical roles like marshalling :-)

Oh eck CStar, sounds stressful!!!

I have now finished 20 different parkruns, we did Brierley Forest parkrun in Notts today - absolutely gorgeous. Nightmare finding it, we got there with two mins to go but I had to use the loo so I was last to start!! Ended up running it with a couple of friends. Really enjoyable.

Off to work now, as the small dudette is with her granddad this weekend.

We had shed loads of runners at RR this morning - again about 18 beginners or so, and then around 20 in the main group. I mentioned cross-country training to them and (to my surprise) there was a degree of enthusiasm!!

Afternoon. Timing at parkrun this morning. It went well unlike Cstar's stressful time.

I was RD at parkrun today and it was lovely :-) Perfect weather, tourists from Glasgow, Devon, Colchester and Australia - people from all corners of the world ;-); no technical hitches and our first ever female first finisher, who knocked 19 seconds off our women's record that has stood since August 2013 :-0

On days like today, I not only heart parkrun but I also heart being RD :-)

How's Sharktopus' crochet coming along Bint? He doesn't seem to be called on so often these days - that'll perhaps change as the weather gets more wintry and the days darker :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
