I think my only 'big' event this year will be the Great South Run (I already entered the Bupa 10k immediately after the last one, so that doesn't count ;-)) and I'll stick to club races the rest of the time.

Great race and organisation though.

Captured the facial expressions beautifully, not to mention the both-feet-off-the-ground running as you came round the curve having survived the BOD. Brown seems an unusual colour for tutus, though... Looking at the photos is as near as I want to get. Could not believe that Mankini man. He ran the whole race, in those near-zero temperatures, wearing no more than that? 9.3 mile long run this afternoon.

Think I'll bodyswerve the Edinburgh marathon (£50+) and go for Strathearn instead (Perth), much cheaper at £23 and it's a local-run thing (course is "a bit hilly" though) - I'll do a flat marathon one day

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
