Just to add that changing your natural gait isn't straightforward though and can cause other injuries.

yes to reiterate it was on the advice of a physio that I changed and not some random woman off tinternet ;)
I suspect that PF is possibly related to forefoot striking. Also *I* need more cushioning in the front of my trainers. I do a spot of walking here and there (water stations) to mix things up a little.

0th anniversary in 2 days. Everything is organised and under control. (one of these statements is not entirely true)

Last day at work for a bit and it promises to be busy - luckily I am in totally scatty mode...There'll be a post on senior moments in a bit, if I remember...

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.
