I had a pint of Gangly Ghoul this weekend. I wasn’t impressed. Bit of an unpleasant aftertaste. I need to update my list but I am out on a bit of a London pub crawl on Friday so I’ll do it after that.

Yes I got conned into drinking a Gangly Ghoul by a local pub landlord who knows my thoughts about GK and didn't tell me who brewed it until I'd started drinking it. I thought it was OK (for GK) and have since had it elsewhere (only a half mind)

108 Gangly ghoul from Greene King (bitter but not nice)
109 Spitalfields sellers own bitter (not bad I suspect was St Austell from the other choices)
110 Turtley tropical from Little critters very fruity
110 Firkin Freezing a winter ale from Salopian

110 Oliver’s island a golden ale from Fullers. Quite good as I remember

111 Ld20 a red ale from Windsor and Eton (last of the evening and I don’t remember this one)
112 Mr squirrel from Mad Squirrel a lovely bitter
113 Mighty oak baize of glory dark bitter or red ale

The last two were in the Chequers beer house on Stevenage high street near the Station. I can recommend this pub should you ever be in Stevenage

I used to lover Fuller's but I am sure, way before the Japanese buy out, they fiddled big time with ESB and the Pride, so tend to avoid, not that you get Fuller's in Manchester much.

I thought it was OK (for GK) and have since had it elsewhere (only a half mind)

Quite good as I remember 111 Ld20 a red ale from Windsor and Eton (last of the evening and I don’t remember this one) 112 Mr squirrel from Mad Squirrel a lovely bitter 113 Mighty oak baize of glory dark bitter or red ale The last two were in the Chequers beer house on Stevenage high street near the Station. I can recommend this pub should you ever be in Stevenage
