I have seen Wipeout around Oxford which we visit regularly but for some reason I haven’t tried it, (yet) maybe because I try to go for darker beers. But just to show that isn’t always the case. Here’s one I missed off the last update as I thought I had already had it this year, but I was wrong, it was last year. 57 JHB Oakham brewery, a fine very pale ale

I reckon you hardly ever see an old time IPA now, they are very strong, pretty dark so much so that they don't really taste as much of hops as you might think. Most are too pale and too fruity, good though. I think I find an awful lot of pale ale bring passed 9ff as IPA too.

Ocelot Spleens Apr 2023 11:28am, 28 Apr 2023 37,083 posts	0 Ocelot Spleens Yes. Not too dark. The other name Cascadian IPAs go under is Black IPA. My utappd notes say Distant Hills, Manna IPA was tending trad. 5.6%, pretty Hoppy but malty too, no fruit.....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
