Found a couple of real ale pubs in town, walking distance from the new house :)

6. Lost Lager. Brewdog, can. 4.5% very nice!
7. Citra. Oakham brewery 4.2% IPA. draught
8. Wicked Pleasure. Wensleydale Brewery 3.6% blonde. draught
9. Fun to Funky. Wensleydale Brewery 4.2% pale. draght
10. Storm Bringer. Wensleydale Brewery 4.0% Pale. draught
11. Jellyfish Nebula. Tooth & Claw brewery. 4.6% pale. draught. Slightly fizzy, very drinkable.

Of everything I've listed so far, only Strongbow cider and Citra are ones I've had before. All the rest are new to me.

There's a bit of a theme to my list!

Hertford Tiger
Our traditional weekend in the West country watching Bristol City vs Hull City meant a number of new pubs. My Favourite was the Hillgrove Porter stores, honourable mentions to The Lime Kiln (for the beer not the cleanliness) and the Bank Tavern;

24 Have a Lovely day Newtown Park Bitter
25 Templer Teignmouth Bitter
26 Rare Breed Butcombe Bitter
27 St Marks Dawkins Mild - best beer of the weekend
28 Pica Mountain Arbor Ales NEIPA
29 Frank Revolution Bitter
30 Tacoma 360 degree Pale
31 Independence Bristol Beer Factory NEIPA
32 Session IPA Gloucester Brewery IPA

Hertford Tiger the Hillgrove Porter Stores was in our Bristol pub crawl some 20 years ago. It was and still is infamous for one of our number falling asleep on a sofa, where we left him to it, and have another somewhere else, and then came back and collected him much tothe amusement of the landlord. We still have a sweepstake as to when N will have a nap!

About This Thread

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
