2023: Keeping a proper list

1 Gran Riserva lager (bottle) - Aldi
2 Green Devil IPA (½, cask) - Oakham
3 Abbot Reserve (½, cask) - Greene King
4 Lager (can) - Innes and Gunn
5 No. 1 Pale Ale (bottle) - Bass
6 Sleekit Stout Milk Stout (can) - Beinn (Lidl)
7 1843 (bottle) - Fuller's
8 Queen Of Puddings (can) - Cold Town
9 Faith In Future - Twist Edition (can) - Northern Monk
10 Pilsner Urquell (bottle)
11 Gulden Draak (bottle) - van Steenberge
12 70' (keg) - McEwans
13 Bonnie And Blonde - Loch Lomond
14 Tennent's Lager (keg)
15 Kronenbourg 1664 (bottle)
16 Hoppy Ness (bottle) - Loch Ness
17 San Miguel lager (can)
18 Old Speckled Hen (can) - Moreland

Hmm - can I keep up a better than beer-a-day average? Tough over a year, though I might try and see January out, at least. The only duplicate so far I think is a second pint of Tennent's (local pub, limited selection).

Hertford Tiger
Very slow start to 2023 as I have had the lingering flu or cold virus that’s been going around and just not felt like drinking but I have finally shaken it off and last night kicked off my list for 2023

1. Sambrooks brewery -Wandle -a traditional session bitter. very nice beer to kick off the list
2 Rivertown IPA from MacMullins of Hertford. A bit bland which is typical of their beers.

Nothing wrong with that provided it's nothing to do with dry January ;-) .

I had a cider last night, unsure, but I think I will include it!

Had a pint of Doom Bar in the Derby Rugby clubhouse yesterday. Horrible. I have fond memories of drinking Doom Bar in Padstow back in the day.

Indeed. It was fine when it was produced in a limited way, but as with all local beers they get ruined when mass produced. Archer's from Swindon was very good, absolutely ruined, the Brewery is a restaurant now, a really shitty one that could be anything, anywhere.

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
