Could well be - no expert me. Did E Costello favour that guitar way back when?

It's either a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster (I think). g1ngerrevolution will know I'm sure.

And yes, Costello was a Jazzmaster guy I believe.

At first glance - fuller-sized pickups and all the switches above the neck pup scream jazzmaster at me. But I'm not entirely sure tbh. In my mind a Jaguar is a simplified Jazzmaster.

Huh. Not for the first time I'm wrong:

The Jag _does_ have the complicated switching, so the only way you can tell is by the size of the pickups....

Isn't there something weird about offset neck angles or did I imagine that? Or is it something they share?

McCartney and Grohl? Nice lads and McCartney has written three or four half decent songs, which is about three or four more than Grohl

I think they share most of their DNA in terms of body shape, neck angle, neck shape. Once fender had a shape they liked they didn't tend to mess with the tooling. Why would you?

It seems to me most of the differences are actually marketing spin.

Thought you were talking about McCartney and Grohl for a moment there.
