Welcome JimmyX. Are you following a plan? The P&D speed sessions are nasty! I did 16 miles with 12 at PMP today and it went pretty well!

Thanks all. I have the Thames Path Challenge (100km) as my main aim with the backup being: Fullstream Fortitude. My training at the moment is made up of six runs a week: long run Sunday, speed Saturdays, double Thursdays and steady miles the other days. Hopefully I will be able to slowly increase the mileage between now and September, and maybe add in a second run on Tuesday towards the end. This year I took the plunge and am trying an 80/20 type training plan (by heart rate). The splits for the first six weeks or so were hard to watch but I am now seeing a downward trend. I am finding that I am 'recovering' a lot faster and weekend afternoons are much more productive. |

Excellent work Jimmyx I use a similar approach - although I have no 100K aspirations. |

Well that's half the year gone - how has it been so far? how do you feel about your chances of getting to the finish? I reach half way to 2020 miles last week and am feeling good about making it all the way. Leading up to my September race I hope to get in another 600+ miles and that should put me ahead enough to take a few weeks break afterwards. |

Half the year? I guess it is! I’m quite ahead of schedule due to marathon training that was furloughed and then starting it up again in the vain hope of a race this side of Christmas. I should get to the finish ok, barring any disasters!

I'm up on the numbers, but whether that'll survive loosening lockdown is the real question. The TP100 is my aim, so fingers crossed it'll happen ...

I’m up just now but I have a couple of deliveries coming up that will wipe out a good chunk of the buffer. Looking forward to being back on the water again though and the rest won’t do me any harm.

Just had a review of my numbers and it looks like I might be on a record-break year! I think it’s training for the marathon that never comes! fetcheveryone.com/blog/69441 How is everyone else doing? |

Haha, yes training for races that never happen! Hopeful that will change in 7 weeks. 169 miles in credit. |
