Heard a competitive walker on the radio this morning. He can walk 5k in 18mins.... Must try that see if it improves my parkrun times.

I've run some bits of flat marathons at a slower pace than that, NDWD. Well done on running up and down those mountains, you did superbly well.

It can be embarrassing to be overtaken by racewalkers in races.

I’ve been at Centurion 100 mile races where this lady has walked every step and overtaken dozens of people in the last 25 miles. She is 70 and has done 200 races of 100 miles or more....

Her PB for walking 100 miles is 19:00:47 which she did aged 50. My PB is 22:41 and I’m not a 50 year old lady
