Welcome Bonners
Good news Flatlander!
Doc, enjoy your trip to the chocolate factory - beware strange men offering golden tickets though.
Had a good hill session last night - made me feel a bit old though, as a friend’s 15 year old son was in our group, and whilst I have run with him a few times before, that’s mostly been at parkrun, so him taking part in a full club session - especially when part of my brain still sees him as a wee 7 year old - was a little strange.

Pikelet
Ha ha Happy Grr, glad to start up a bit of a discussion!
I'm with jabberknit on the pikelets but just to be on the safe side I call all crumpet like items pikelets. It was also the collective noun for our Jack Russell's puppies when I was little
Have a good visit to the chocolate factory Doc, it wouldn't be safe for me to go.

Jono.
Scones, scotch pancakes they are all fair game.
Welcome Bonners - you'll like it in here.
Right the Asics cumulus are doing the job and the wonky heel on my wonky left foot doesn't have a dull ache after running - but god are they *snug*, its like my feet have to get used to running in a very different running shoe.
Mrs J says its my arthritic old feet (I do not have arthritic feet - they are middle-aged!)
still haven't signed up to Kimbolton - my browser on my company laptop isn't suitable, will have to do it at home - if I ever remember.

Which cumulus are you using Jono? I loved the 16 and 17 models but the 18 are too tight, I had to send them back - now I cant get the older models

19? Shadow- I thought it was just me, what are you using now? Mind you I could actually go into a running shop and (God forbid) get some professional advice.
I have taken the lining out.

bonners
So, no running today, but Tuesday is my semi planned rest day. I usually do about 10 hours work, so only run if I feel up to it, certainly not a scientific approach to my running. I do like the food stuffs, I'm also a big fan of scones, pronounced as in stones as I'm originally from Devon.
Anyway homemade cottage pie leftovers for tea again, hardly the food of champions, but bloody gorgeous even if I do say so myself.
Do you all add in your planned races, or just specific ones?

Good luck with the Quadzilla, RonB, had a go at that that last year and discovered that 3 maras in a row is probably my limit - my ankles were killing me on Day 4.
You can put as many or as few of your races as you like, bonners. People often put particular target races there, but you can decide which ones if any you want there.
I also like cottage pie, but Mr JK is not keen on mashed potato, so we don't often have it.

Watford Wobble
I've had an immensely disappointing day. But that's work life.
We have a new garden clock. Last one destroyed by Dooreen or some such other storm.
Where's Funkey Monkey?
