To be honest Clare, Ultra's involve walking, and the Run-Walk training has really paid dividends.

Toks
Just catching up and reading this keeping going post awwwwwwwww 😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘 thank you all, not nice running against the clock, the rain in the morning before the race made the course so tough in the beginning, really was tough from the start, the second hill went on forever my waist and back was screaming help me 😱😱😱 I had difficulty making contact with the floor as my hoka challenger was super muddy and I had no grip and as a result I was slipping and sliding everywhere, almost falling down on numerous occasions, my right thigh Seized up, I just wanted to cry it was so bad but I had to pull my big girl pants on and get on with it, salvage anything from it but deep down I know it was touch and go getting so close to the cut off times, 15 mins to the first cut off and every was looking not good from then on πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜–πŸ˜–πŸ˜–

Cheers 1500ers.

When the first finisher was thirty minutes slower you know the course wasn't playing nicely. Definitely a mudfest on the SDW50 yesterday. My Mizuno Ascends look in a right state!
