Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Huntsman, yes did the Lightwater 10k on Saturday. Didn't post about it as too busy making cake!
Anyway, I ran it with Miss Neilio, who is trying really hard with her running despite having pretty bad asthma and a fairly hard negative attitude- but she does recognise the benefits of running, completing 90%+ of the training set for her. Sometimes she struggles with a mile, other times she can crack off a 4 miler with no issue. Confidence issues? :)
Add to this, in some parts it was rather muddy. She decided pace and I dragged her round in 1H 8mins.
Let's just say it was a thorough test of our Father and Daughter relationship during that hour-right up to the finish line :), and we had a long chat in the car on the way home about what she wants from her running.
Suffice to say we are going out tonight for a couple of miles and I'll stick with her for as long as she wants to :)

Congrats, Shadow, well run! That was an excellent-looking cake a few pages ago.
Running rest day, particularly for my right quad which didn't like last week's hills and high mileage, or yesterday's undulating league race. I need younger legs. However, this morning, did get out for a lovely country walk in the sunshine with OH followed by lunch in a nice caff.

Veg soup for tea to use up veggies left over from the weekend.

What a struggle that was. Exactly 2.1 miles with the tightest hamstrings you could ever possibly imagine in your wildest dreams ever.
