Drunk too much last night so I stayed in bed. My legs thanked me.

Not much distance by me so far this week, but it was quality work. 6x 0.25 mile on Tuesday, with a few of the later bits at 4:5x minute miling pace, overall low 5mm, pleased with that. Yesterday was hill sprints with a friend, only 6x 20 seconds because she seldom runs hills, although our warm up and down to get there totalled over 4 miles. The stretching and drills beforehand took far longer than the hill runs! Run tomorrow morning before a sports massage in preparation for pacing 2 hours at the Cambridge HM on Sunday.

Jono, I think getting your head in the right place is probably more important than physical fitness. You've got to want it and embrace the discomfort.

Well done everyone who's been out already this morning. It's a chilly one again here this morning, but gloriously sunny.
I still have my cough, but I feel a lot better than I did yesterday. Think I'm going to have to give running club a miss tonight, but may try a little joglet locally if I feel up to it.

Good morning! Queen Sensible here - right knee/left Achilles combo seem much better today, but I'm not going to run to give everything a chance to settle down properly. Think you're being wise, Jennyh, best not to push things too much if you're not feeling 100%. Will go to the gym instead (if they'll let me in as I seem to have lost my gym card) and do some cross-training in the form of knitting this afternoon.
Spag bol for tea.

Ooh, didn't see those - good luck DocM and Clare!
Very sensible JK (annoying being sensible, isn't it)? Glad the knee and Achilles are feeling better though, hope they let you into the gym.
