Thanks folks. It was metres (and miles t'other way). Utterly wild above 3000ft and somewhat out there since I didn't have full winter kit (needed crampons, proper winter gloves, salopettes, goretex jacket, etc. really) rather than shorts (with basic waterproof trousers) and basic running gloves. Still frostbite and hypothermia was dodged this time.
