I think I forgot to check in. I’ve done day 6. I then did a yoga session that involved multiple planks. I might feel that tomorrow.

Do another duathlon

Okay, so I did the exercises earlier today, only now getting on to the hardest part, the targets:

1) Finish the 12 days of Fetchmas challenge
2) Try to build up confidence on the bike/cycle more/actually use the Brompton I got in March which I’ve only used twice
3) Make more time to practice speaking Welsh so I can actually make some improvement in learning the language
4) Do Run the Sum in January
5) Lose weight and eat more healthily (obviously linked, not setting a specific target as not sure what is a realistic goal
6) I’m stealing Em’s idea - try to be kinder to myself (this is the one that’s probably going to be hardest)

From what I've seen you're both really good people. Not sure how to say it more helpfully...

Jenny, I wish I could justify a Brompton. Back in the days when I could have used one I'd never heard of them and now that I want one I have absolutely no justification (beyond desire). Maybe one day I'll have one to store in my camping van or on my narrow boat.

Thanks Em - and from what I’ve seen on here I would say the same about you, you always seem to be really kind and supportive to other Fetchies, even if you’re having a tough time yourself.

Angus - ironically I got the Brompton through my company’s cycle to work scheme - order in late November last year, lead in time meant it wasn’t available until March - I picked it up on the 7th, we were sent to work from home on the 18th. It was ideal for me as we have a small house with no shed (and already have OH’s bike taking up half the space in a small kitchen 😅), but I wasn’t a massively confident cyclist to start with, rode it twice before lockdown but when we were only allowed out once a day in the first lockdown I always chose a run or a walk - and now just need a bit of confidence to get back on the bike.
