100 miles on a saddle sounds ....quite uncomfortable scottdog and well done on your "first" 100 mile ride, presuming you're going to do it again 😂. A marathon a day for 106 days is one heck of an achievement. But plain torture in my book so doing it is incredible. Nice gathering and event there hs. Stick to plan gg! A 5k on sand sounds challenging LL so well done on that. Back on trails for first time in a week but disappointed that my efforts hadn't improved my time/pace. Great morning though.

Well done scottdog not sure my under carriage could manage 100 🤣 Nice one Steve you may not have the pace but you’ve certainly done the mileage.
Another short one for me today. No green tick this month 🥴

Thanks everyone for your comments on our charity raising breakfast.
That's amazing Lesley, runners achieving 106 marathons in 106 days.
Well done scottdog, I watched the London Ride on the TV.
Well done for another trail run Steve.
This morning was my first attempt at a run, since my fall Sunday week. I ran 3.73 miles in the forest, applying the Geoff Galloway method, walk/run. It went as well as could be expected.

Well done scottdog for your 100m ride, impressive. At least you're getting out LL and you too Steve.
I'm pleased you managed to get out this morning too hillstrider, I hope the aches and pains are easing further still.
No running for me this week as we're away with family to celebrate our 30th anniversary as our sons partner is a teacher and is unable to have term time off.

Thanks FF, yes the aches and pains are easing day by day. Tomorrow is a rest day, so hopefully Wednesday will be a pain free run. Congratulations for your 30th Anniversary, and hoping you have a lovely week away.😃

Yeah, "geoffing" or "Jeffing" is a useful alternative in many circumstances hs which I'm currently stuck with until I find out about the ticker . Well done on your return then hs! A bit of a break will see you flying even more so I reckon FF. And 30 years... congratulations on such a marathon! Back on roads this morning and got caught in a downpour which suddenly arrived but did it's job of soaking me in just twenty minutes! It was cold too!!

Well done all. And glad you're on the mend, HS.
For a little while I assumed Geoffing/Jeffing was a way of letting off steam when out running - as in the local (?) phrase " 'effin' and jeffin' "! I know better now.

Steve, I'm in the over 70's runners Facebook Group, and it's amazing how many are Jeffing/Geoffing. They not only use it for long distance racing, but even 5k's with very impressive results. In my very first marathon, when I was in my thirties, I remember at about 17 miles, the runner ahead of me kept walking and running, and in my ignorance, I thought he was cheating. This was way before Galloway, so it's not something relatively new.
Thanks 3M, although I'm feeling the after effects this morning after yesterday's Jeffing. I started off with 3 others by running, but couldn't keep up with them, so rather than holding them up, said I would turn back. The return was actually more walking than running, but I got home ok 😁
