Loadsa reports of black ice on the pavements and streets around York this morning. Rain on snow/ice and a rapid drop in air temperature.
However I wasn't planni g on running anyway, and by the afternoon when we went for a walk it was only left in spots.
Take care everyone!

Akkers
My club has one event a year which we are “expected” to volunteer for. This year though as it’s virtual, I got the opportunity to run the Tad10. 4 seasons in the course of my 80 min run but pleased with my effort and also puts me up to 17/100.

5 miles on the plan today but my running buddy asked if we could go for a walk instead. Managed a little 2 miler this afternoon to keep my runstreak going. 8.5/100 so far.

I like the look of your LEJoG challenge, Ness! Although I might like the look of the Icelandic ring road challenge a bit more. The one I’m doing is one from Always Aim High, and it’s just for four months. Thought it would see me through the winter, and it’s helping so far.

Strong start to January, with 26 miles in the last three days. Would have added more than 3 miles today, but black ice put the mockers on it. Poor old mum slipped over and broke her wrist. Much of the rest of the day was spent resolving that.

You had me all excited Akkers! Then I discovered you meant Tadworth 10, not Tadcaster 10.
I'd struggle to find 250 metres of elevation before next weekend around here too, otherwise I think I'd do it anyway! (Vale of York. Pretty flat until you get to the edges.)
Well done though!

Slightly halting start to the year but got out for just under 7.5 miles in the dark this evening so at 12.5/100

Hope mum isn't too short for too long! I'm looking forward to all this slippy stuff being gone!
