Run commute tomorrow now as jury service delayed again

Weather does not look like running weather after that!

Hip very sore still after Sunday, so I won't be commuting on foot! At least, not this morning. Maybe a day in the office will help...

No offence meant to anyone , most of you know my background and I am not an elitist snob just an old ex high mileage runner.

However , 3M I mean no disrespect but this is what baffles me about this thread. We don't do a lot of mileage in here and yet you ran a marathon on Sunday(I am always in awe that you can run marathons off so little mileage), running over the next week should not be on your mind even more so with a niggle.

Learn from someone who took too many risks, have a break!

Oh randomly 56 after running to the gym and back.

Thanks Gobi. I might take your advice - although my running kit is in my locker downstairs, just in case I feel wonderful by hometime! (Actually, the ride in and walk round the building has helped massively with easing off my hip - I suspect a strained muscle.)

Gobi - your higher volume training was for a higher performance of marathon though, wasn't it? As I'm hoping to "just get round" then I think a far lower volume of training is pretty normal? Not saying it's right but it is what it is!

I'm on zero now until mara as calf is still dodgy. Will rest lots after too. Though I have XC and a half marathon in the 3 weeks post mara... errrr?!

HappyG(rrr) yes I was a different level of performance so my mileage and racing were tuned in to go again and again until the A race but you crazy people push bloody hard on race day !!!

Somedays a get round is a very hard effort and 5hrs on your legs can hurt far more than me running a controlled sub3 effort.

I have learned to understand that many just GO AND GO AND GO

However, there are injuries here and this is why I made my comments :๐Ÿ˜ฑ

As for you and the calf, glad I'm not your coach as we would have fallen out. ๐Ÿ˜€
