Mersea 10. Went into this race with three good months training under my belt and given the fact I was at my lightest race weight ever, I should have gone well and I did

Set off with the aim of sub 55, despite being out on my own after 400 metres, the hilly course, wind I kept the dream alive for quite some time. Ran the first 5 in 27-01, it wasn't until the 8th mile that garmin clicked above the 5-30 m/m average required. With the garmin measuring short miles I wasn't even close in the end but 55-55 and first place was very pleasing. Two years its taken to beat my 56-35 that I set at the Hadleigh 10, I guess ive got to enjoy it while I am going well!

Great run Rob
Brilliant result! Can recommend the Nene Valley 10 (usually later this year) for a sub 55 attempt. It's a bit of a longer journey, but it's flat and as you do 2 loops mostly round cycle paths at the back of housing estates, it's pretty sheltered if it's windy...
Brilliant run mate....you are flying.
Great run Rob! I would also recomend Fenland 10, it's a very quick course if the conditions are good.
thanks guys, i'll have a look at those races.
