Perfect Organism So I didn't quite crack my target time of 43:35, but I did manage to beat my previous best time, so I am very happy with my run today. This was a really nice run in the leafy seafront suburb of Goring. The roads were nice and wide, meaning that there was plenty of room to overtake people and much less resulting jostle. The weather was also pretty much perfect, with the sun appearing in spurts, and a cool, gentle breeze there to keep us calm. I had had a couple of beers with Laura the night before (I seldom drink the night before a race) and at about the three mile mark I though that I was paying for it and had lost my chances of a PB, but thankfully it didn't affect me too much and I managed to pull off a new best :) And we got given a mug as opposed to a medal as our finishers prize! A welcome change, and something nice to enjoy my coffees from! Yeah, this is a recommended race and I would do it again.
