Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Yellow Fang There were quite a few Reading Roadrunners in this race. It was pretty hilly. Several of my clubmates said it was the hardest half marathon they had run. I didn't find it quite that bad because I did not blow up so badly as I have in my last two halves. It was pretty sunny too, but luckily not as blisteringly hot as it had threatened to be when we got up. We ran out of town along a B road to Corfe Castle where we turned left along an A road back to Swanage. The traffic got a lot worse here with a lot of caravans passing. Miles 12 to 13 were particularly tough. They went one way though town and then doubled back up a hill to make the distance. I was annoyed to be pipped on the line again by Colin with about ten yards to go. I thought I had lost him ages before. That meant he got to be in winning team with Paul, Chris and Julian. We also won the ladies' team. Saba got 2nd prize in the FV35 category. I was pleased with my time considering the hills, warm weather and lack of training. It was nearly 7 minute miles all the way around.
