Tiddly B I was hoping to be in shape to run 1.23, but obviously not done the training required yet. Was OK to about 9 miles and then trailed home slowly......

Odeon1085 1 week after Cardiff- Be nice to break 1.30. Am in that sort of shape. Just a question of whether I've recovered enough.

Very Happy. Another PB back to base miles for the rest of the year. :)

B Rubble Wasn't sure how fast it would be after Cardiff Marathon last week but pretty pleased to get a PB. Liked the new course layout and all but the section from the Little Chef roundabout with the traffic coming up behind. Can knock at least 2 minutes off this!!!

SparkyMark not sure if PB is on. Have not gone beyond 10 miles for a while and will feel it in the latter stages. However, going to give it a serious go and fitness has improved significantly lately. UPDATE - well perfect conditions for the race and managed to start well and keep with team mates for 4 miles and managed 8 min miling up til 8. Then I started to lose time. Seing other runners in front come out of the Industrial Estate was disconcerting too. Had bad patch 11-12 where I slowed dramatically - legs were heavy which was expected really, with lack of distance. Managed to 'push' for the finish and crossed the line in 1:51:27 - a PB by over 2.5 mins by my watch. Will update with official time, when available. Really pleased with that :o) - CHIP TIME 1:51:23 :o))

Cazros Ugh. A personal worst. Felt all wrong in the morning, knew I didn't have the training in my legs and wasn't hopeful at all (a massively hectic week and few drinks the night before prob didnt help either). Couldn't even manage to run all the way round, as kept feeling dizzy and queasy - and spectacularly vomited just after crossing the line, something I've never done before. Was actually v surprised to come in under 2 hours, as had resigned myself to dropping out at mile 3.

One positive - the support from other runners and marshals was fantastic. It was pretty clear I was struggling and the fellow runner and spectator who ran with me in the final miles really lifted my spirit - so thanks all!
