bedlam_g 2 laps of a hilltop course in a freezing sleety gale. Never been so cold lots of runners treated for Hypothermia. Trapped behind a runner in the 2nd half who was only interested in holding 14th his place rather than catching the runners ahead. Was blocked and elbowed every time I tried to pass the dozen or so times I did pass he quickly overtook me again and slowed back down his pace for another spell of blocking and elbowing. Only the 2nd time i've experienced this tactic in 10 years racing both in the last 12 months, makes me feel like chucking it.

justcol I think it would be an understatement to say it was cold out there, exposed start area and exposed route coupled with horrendous weather were a marriage made in hell. By the time I had jogged the course I was frozen to the bone with interest in the race dropping. By the time I started my feet / hands were ice and my heart heading home. On a different day this would be a great course, just not today. Great marshalling and hat off to all who 'ran' today! A learning experience.
