Gobi Day after Edinburgh and not a bad effort. Heart and lungs let me have this and legs just got on with it.

Rach E Entered this on a whim as it was on the way back from Edinburgh. Legs were completely trashed after racing yesterday so the plan was to run as hard as I could. Very pleased to run so close to my pb and run at such a consistent pace. I had little cardio discomfort today and it was purely leg fatigue holding me back. The course was twisty and partly multiterrain with lots of wind! I know sub-30 is there for the taking now. Third lady and fifty quid in cash in a competitive race. In the words of another - NICE.

McNewbie So typical for the sun to come out when the race began, lol! Really nice crowd support, I thought, on a rather windy day. Did a lot better than expected, so rather pleased. Would have liked to have seen more markings for the race, though, as I very nearly did get lost a few times. But I didn't so, yay me, lol. Thought the route was rather nice, enjoyed going out into the park. Bit disappointed with the goody bag, though am inexperienced in such matters and expected more (unrealistic? Feel free to let me know). Chatted to manc girl - fetchies exist in real life, who knew?! - and it was a lovely atmosphere.
