thomas h new course 2 laps of draycot res.with a 1st lap small extra loop up a little hill with some alpaca's see link for pics http://www.thetoftalpacashop.com/(diblxr30n1eqj545wgycbo45)/home.aspx .expected to do a bit better on easier course but i guess the half M a week before made it too difficult . Also the home of the draycot marathon & ultra 35M IN february [might consider this feb 08 ,FLM training].

Go-KL The start of the race went quite well and somehow settled near the front of the race, despite not really running that fast. Legs felt quite heavy from the off though. The problems began at around 3 miles when I got some sharp pains in the left inner quad not far from the knee. Went through halfway in 30:32. I persevered at pace until 5 1/2 miles but as the pair I was running with began to ease away and I had a large gap to the runner behind me, I decided to go into damage limitation and ran a much slower second half finishing around a minute outside my weakest PB. The course fine, the winds that can be a problem weren't, temperature near perfect. Just was a little dull running most of the second half alone and the field was not that strong.
