Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

AlanO Gale Force Winds, Torrential Rain & a hilly mud sapping course to boot.Brilliant Stuff.
On the plus side ran quite a strong race and it felt much better than last year. Out 2nd leg and clawed back about 12 team places. Think I finished 18mins dead which I was quite happy with. Met Will Haining so that's another Fetch I've met now. Overall very happy with my efforts.

Baza 6th year in a row, lets hope it's the best race out the lot. Best was 15:14 back in 2003, then 15:57 last year. Going to be ambitious and say 15:10 for this year. Hope it's not too muddy though, or that predictions going out the window.. *Update* That was horendious, don't think I can recall running any XC races in conditions like that. Ended up running leg 2 for the 'B' team, but on times I reckon I could have got in the 1st team, never mind. Once I got running I found it good, even given the under foot conditions, I reckon my extra 'body weight' helped on the hills against the wind, as I picked of a few places. Time at present is watch and out by a few seconds I think. Sorry to all those who bet against me.

bedlam_g Horror conditions today. I ran a much better controlled race than last week gained quite a few places. Would have liked to have narrowed the gap a little more on a few people, but overall good.

ClaireT Extreme weather conditions, now thats what cross country is all about! Ran the 3rd and final leg. Did not gain or lose any places. Team position 19/49. After setting off too fast last year, took it pretty steady, tough work but loved every minute.

Vic Mason Just scrapped under the 18 minutes - well chuffed. That has to be the toughest 2.5m I have ever ran, swam or plodded! First real taster @ XC and the conditions were horrendous. The least muddy part of the course was into a very strong headwind. I ran the 2nd leg for Kirkintilloch Olympians ‘B’ team. 48th position out of 89.
