Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Hills of Death (HOD) Feeling Hot Hot Hot -As I said to some of you before either the weather will be hot or I will not BOTH.

Massive apology to everyone that bet on me I failed miserably. Even consired quiting running for good I was that upset. Thought I was going to collapse at 7k. It was very very very hot and I had some shade as well. This should be a PB no questions.

Started race feeling dehydrated 1st mile 6m 54s mile I thought I could keep this up all day mile 2 8 m 02 near the end of mile my legs started to slow considerably mile 3 7m 57s I tried to pick it up at haf way 24 mins I have to run a neg split and my legs won't let me. Miles 4,5,6 around the 8min mark I struggled HR 170+. It was a bad day. Did n't get the same feeling when I finished that I normally get. Well gutted. Got lapped by fast blokes as well.

I don't know what was to blame 1. The Weather 2. My Race strategy 3. The fact I did a 7.5 miler Thurs

mokina It was so hot!! I couldn't breathe. Thank god for the sponges and for the few trees. But it was a great day out as my family was visiting me and I managed to run with my dad (we crossed the finish line together!). Plus it was a PB for me :-)

SUPERWOMAN63 Well what can l say have got the running bug and this was the furthest l had challenged myself to run l raised money for the London Chest Hospital and Hollycats Childrens Charity, my husband, children and friends came to support me and guess what it was a glorious HOT day. I was surrounded by real athletes and as the race started l was swamped by lots of them flying past me BUT l didn't panic l ran my own pace and finished and felt fabulous, another medal and we had a great picnic in a great park.
