surreystrider™ Really enjoyed this for some insane reason. Quite dangerous in parts, I went over on my ankle on one of those treacherous downhill bits. Didn't hurt too much at the time but it is aching a bit now. The Bog of Doom was a good laugh. Being chest deep in liquid peat was a new experience, though those under water branches were lethal. Having the photographer at the end wasn't the best idea as it led to a delay with people standing in the cold goo for a while. Seemed a lot harder than last year, probably because I am not as fit. The goody bag was a bit crap to be honest.

Roxy Not sure of my exact time...find out soon but was 9th lady. Enjoyed it...was tough though!! Never ran through so much bog, water and up hills! And yeah I got my leg stuck in the bog bit too...felt like a metal poll under there...got a big bruise forming on my shin now. Luckily a nice man helped pull me out, otherwise think I'd still be stuck!!

weeble Great fun! Took it very easy (and starting out at the back, was stuck behind people walking on most of the hills, plus about 15mins getting through the bog). Didn't know what was laying ahead so kept some energy in reserve. Bog was hilarious! In the end it wasn't half as hard as I thought it would be, but I had to laugh when I saw the hills of hell. Gorgeous day for it, great atmosphere and fantastic t-shirt/goody bag. oh and I really liked the latte! :p

Konaboy That was superb even though the start was delayed by 30mins! The bog of doom was something else - God knows what was submerged in there but I've got a huge bloody bruise on my shin now. Best ever goody bag & well deserved bacon butties at the finish. Also can't praise enough the unisex showers in the army camp after the race!!! Will defo be back next year.

Kitana Mixed feelings about this race. It was excellent fun, great people and suport, fantastic course, perfect goody bag. But, in one of the bogs I got my leg ripped to streads. I am not being a wimp, I mean I have to have stitches it was so bad. There must have been some brambles of something similar underthere. So while is was great fun, there was a down side too.

Patricia Sorry for people who bet on me! I feel terribly guilty. Can only put time down to injury troubles, congestion at the start and hanging around in the bog for people's pretty pictures... But a great day and good fun, will do it again, minus the branches in the bogs I hope. Great to meet Smashie, Em71 and Konaboy!
