fatface Bliimming hot. Actual time is the clock time rather than my watch. The few seconds difference aren't worth the effort to log as it was 5 minutes outside of PB territory. Well organised race and excellent facilities at the race HQ but it was just too hot to enjoy the course.

GazzaC An incredibly challenging course due to the hot weather and the incescent undulations. I found it tough but managed to PB (just!!!!).

Ginnersinner Was right about the heat - but first three miles in 8.47 8.30 and 8.28 probably didn't help - a more even pace may have brought better results, and GUTTED that I missed 1.30 by so little - I had to have a few short walks and that was that :-(

Hash Feelin' hot hot hot...........

Like the new course. BIG thanks to whoever went round beforehand spraying all the lumpy bumpy bits bright orange, I know I would have come a cropper without it.

Hills of Death (HOD) Prob won't PB as I'm doing this as a club race so going for position rather than time. Unlike me but I'm maxim out on 10k's at the mo.. (coaches orders). First Half 41 mins hill and heat got to me in mile 6 struggled to complete this one. Was not pushing it anyway personal worse (apart for my first ever 10) very heat affected.

john_n Hot hot hot. Nice course and would definitely run again. But given the date of the race there is always a risk its going to be scorchio.

Robinp Excellent but very hot. No where near a PB but still an enjoyable race. Very well organised. Definately up for it again next year. They changed the course this year so no steep hill towards the end but still some naughty inclines along the route.
Well done Harlow RC.

Vicksta Ran better than expected, especially given the conditions. It said 31 degrees when I got back to my car! Had a good run, when I got to about 6 miles I felt settled and then started reeling people in. I enjoyed the new course, undulating but no really significant steep climbs, quite scenic in places (if you ignored the burnt out car!!!). Nice to meet some Fetchies at the end, and a big thank you to Hashette for an ice cold beer, much appreciated! I have now completed my goal of beating my PBs at every distance in 2008, so am well chuffed about that. And my 10M PB is still weak compared to my HM PB so there is scope to beat this one again at Stebbing in November!! 20th placed woman.
