Enigma Well, this time last year I was trying to get close to 40 mins, a year on and I was just hoping to get sub 50. In the end it was 46:55 which I'm pretty pleased with. My legs weren't the problem, though 10 mins before the start I was considering not running due to them. It was my cardio fitness that was keeping me back. Good to find that out and I know what to work on. As ever, it was a great race. Well done to Baza and the whole team at Pitreavie for another excellent race. Post race nosh was expansive as ever and they even kept the rain off until after the prize giving.

Hurry Up Harkins The first few K's flew in and then.....couldn't remember much from when I did this race in 2005 but I sure did half-way through. Really enjoyed it though and the scoff afterwards was great, also won a spot prize which was nice.

PentlandPounder Got a PB here year before last, and I've never beaten it yet. Really like this route - esp if its not windy. Loadsa quality scran afterwards too. well broke my moral PB by 2 secs (if I discount Musselburgh result which was on short course), so well pleased . As usual, well organised, and good weather, and wind wasn't bad.

SueW Just a week after the Tour of Fife. I'll revise my prediction after that. Update, I'm going to chum my daughter round on her first 10k. Her target is sub 60 minutes so I'll go with that. Update. Daughter ran with a club mate and met her target - 59:30 on the 1st attempt. I'm very proud. I ran 51:01, garmin time, but probably 51:20 on teh official results as I started at the back with my daughter. Lovely day for a run. Well done Baza and Pitreavie AC for a very well organised race. You even arranged to have no showers!!
