bedlam_g Leg 3 - Leg time 1.17.35. Missed checkpoint 4 and had to backtrack around the side of the hill losing much time and adding a mile and many places to our result. All the runners around us who also missed c4 just carried on to checkpoint 5 and were still counted in the results.

_andy Devil's Burdens Hill Relay race - leg 3. Steep pull out of Pormoak, good route chosen below the tops of White Craig, although this did involve an exposed snow slope where a fall would have had serious consequences. Managed to get the first checkpoint (just!) and the direct from Bishop Hill was challenging (maybe followed others a bit far to the right?) but took back a few places during this downhill. Ascent of West Lomond felt like hard work but the descent was ok, although the steep snowy gully on the north side was a bit interesting and the endless contouring under the crags meant for no descent running for a bit. Great finish through the forest, mostly downhill. 1:13:16, but I'll put that in the Leg 3 race notes. Team ended up in 30th plae in the end.

Lexo Had a go at leg 1 this year and really enjoyed it. Conditions nice and slippy underfoot so some comedy moments on the way down from the sumit of East Lommond. Cracking run out and great team event. Had to draft in my GF, Rachel and Lynne (who kept me right on stage one) from Porty at short notice and both of them put in cracking runs to push us 14 places higher than last year......Well organised and great atmosphere.if you get a chance to do this racce I would really recomend it
